​Q) What happens if there is a problem with my flat pack furniture?

A) If for any reason parts are missing or your flat pack furniture is damaged upon opening the packaging, we will inform you straight away.  We will always endeavour to rectify any smaller problems there and then if we can.

Note: If the job cannot be completed due to missing or damaged parts, a minimum £35 charge will apply for a return visit to complete the job.

Q) What happens if there is an issue with parking at our home?

A) Please give details of any parking restrictions when requesting a quote.

Q) Do you have a call out charge?

A) No call out charge is made, but we do have a minimum assembly charge of £35 (1 hour)

Q) What hours do you work?

A) Office: Mon to Fri - 9am to 6pm, Sat 9am to 1pm, Sun - Closed (Enquires out of these hours will be dealt with the following day).                Assembly: Mon to Fri - 9am to 6pm, Sat - 9am to 3pm, Sun - Closed

Q) How much will our flat pack furniture cost to build?

A) FLAT PACK CHARLIE always gives a fixed price quotation. We price according to how complex the work is. Some items take longer to complete than others, because there may be more components, consequently this will be reflected in the price we charge.

Q) How much notice will we need to give to cancel or change an assembly date?

A) We need at least 48 hrs notice for all cancelations.  If you do cancel under the notice period, please be aware that you could incur the minimum assembly charge (£35)

Q) Will our packages need to be in the room where it’s going to be assembled?

A) Yes, all quotes are based on the goods being in the room of the final positioning.

Q) Do you fix furniture to the wall?

A) For safety, larger items such as wardrobes and tall bookcases require being secured to the wall. This will only be carried out with your permission and at the discretion of the fitter on the day.

Q) Are you insured to do my work?

A) Yes, FLAT PACK CHARLIE has full public liability insurance.

Q) Will the furniture fitter clean up after the job has finished?

A) We will clean up and stack waste in a suitable place. 

Q) How much room do you need to build my furniture?

A) Bear in mind that lots of furniture needs to be built on its back lying down, so there has to be enough room to facilitate this procedure, also the fitter will needs approximately 1 metre round the furniture, to work in. If you have any concerns about this, get in touch.

Q) Can you move my furniture for me, after you have built it?

A) Only small items of furniture such as bedside tables can be relocated from the original assembly position. Larger heavier pieces like wardrobes cannot be moved once they are in the designated area you ask for. Moving larger items would involve dismantling and therefore incur an extra charge.

Q) Do you add VAT?

A) No VAT is added to prices.

A) You pay when the job is complete. We accept cash, bank transfer, debit and credit cards.
